Summary The FSR I is responsible for member account services and loan growth in assigned office. The FSR I primary focus is to fit the member with the best deposit and loan product and/or solutions according to service level expectations in order to deliver the desired member experience. S/he p romotes, explains and cross-sells PFCU's product line to all members consistently. Additionally, s/he takes consumer loan applications. S/he evaluates products and services to provide new and existing members with options that will help meet their financial needs. Recommends creative solutions to members including cross selling other PFCU products and services. The FSR I works under the Loan Officer II for all lending related job responsibilities. In addition, the FSR I will report to the Member Services Consultant for general office operations and other members of the organization as needed. The FSR I interacts with members daily. Key Responsibilities 1. Responsible for the sales and cross sell of all PFCU products including deposit products, Consumer, Visa, Home Equity products, First Mortgage, Student and Business loans and the thorough understanding of PFCU programs and procedures related. 2. Actively markets PFCU products as appropriate and implements member follow up (calls / contacts) to ensure goals are meet; develops a member "book of business" and is pro-active in seeking new business. 3. Within established limits, processes all types of member transactions and documentation associated with member requests Including but not limited to; general account deposit, loan transactions, new account opening, and member profile updates change on Core system. Requests additional Information from member when needed and follows up to ensure completion. 4. Consistently builds member relationships and rapport; ongoing direct member contact and interaction by interviewing, taking applications and gathering information. Supports sales growth by strengthening relationships with members, actively selling/cross-selling and implementing sales activities toward goal obtainment. . 5. Processing all related documentation associated with member requests. Requests additional information and follows up with member as needed. 6. Counsels members on options, alternative financial solutions; acts as a SME (subject matter expert) and advises member. 7. Inputs loan applications and / or assists members with input of applications. 8. Evaluates and ensures loan documents are accurate, complete, and compliant. Reviews loan documents to ensure compliance with established credit union policy and procedures and regulatory rules and regulations. 9. Reviews financial statements, credit reports, applicable ratios (i.e. debt ratios, loan-to-value) and other supporting documentation and submits to underwriter for loan decisions. 10. Explores options or alternatives for members when loans may not meet standard PFCU guidelines. Offers members assistance through credit counseling, consolidations, pay methods and other areas relating to members' financial needs. Assists in reviewing loan delinquency reports; contacts delinquent members when necessary, to acquire payment or resolve nonpayment; processes workouts or refinances as needed. 11. Thorough understanding of all PFCU products and services including all lending and teller operational duties and maintaining a cash drawer. Performs general member service duties if needed. 12. Provides and acts as a backup for office coverage to meet business demands; may be utilized to open or close the office, provide supervisor override (review / approval) and assist members in general. 13. Keeps abreast of industry developments including, but not limited to changes in regulations, technology current events, credit union, banking, and lending trends allowing members to rely on you for information, education, advising and guidance. 14. May represents PFCU in SEG and community functions to enhance PFCU's image while seeking additional growth opportunities. 15. Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards; works effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors 16. Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations; adheres to all regulatory compliance. 17. Performs additional duties as required; may be utilized in other PFCU offices and departments as business needs dictate Scope The FSR I works under close supervision of the Loan Officer II, exercising sound judgement. This person must have a sales skillset, pro-active, cross functional, action orientated, self-motivated, creative, and highly functional, detail and goal orientated. The FSR I works with the MSC and Lending Manager to establish annual goals, attends meetings, enhances and improves knowledge base of PFCU programs, procedures and governmental regulations. S/he must possess excellent relationship building, sales and communication (oral and written) skills and meet all required PFCU and regulatory compliance training. Essential Skills, Knowledge and Requirements High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Related field or equivalent job-related experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities of the role. Lending knowledge and lending operational skill set; performs all lending operational tasks, related duties and functions. Minimum of up to 3-5 years of related lending experience; prior lending experience desired. Action Oriented: Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm. Self-Development: Actively seeks new ways to grow and be challenged using formal and informal development channels. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. In-depth understanding of credit union or banking lending products, services, policies and procedures. Understanding of lending related legal and regulatory standards and required loan documentation. Strong decision making and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/duties. Results driven, service oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently. Trustworthy with the ability to maintain highest level of integrity. Proficiency in all Core and Lending applications to include member applications, proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work in a multi-application environment. Attend all required lending and regulatory compliance classes and training. Must be flexible regarding work schedule as evening hours may be necessary. Additional Information and Requirements The FSR I perform a major portion of his/her duties through verbal and written communications. It is critical that s/he possess the ability to communicate with clarity, while understanding and explaining complex situations to team members and outside contacts. Accuracy is essential and s/he must possess the ability to proofread documentation and correspondence to insure free of errors and fraud. The person will spend a good portion of the day seated at a workstation, but may also be mobile throughout the credit union for purposes of meetings, working with others, etc. The ability to move or lift files, boxes and general office equipment if needed.
