Practice Area: Litigation - Commercial,Product Liability Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 8 Years, Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with a strong background in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, superior research and writing abilities, and the capacity to work effectively independently and within a team.Duties:Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.Foster positive work relationships.Comply with all firm policies and practices.Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed.Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.Requirements:8+ years of litigation experience (preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm), with experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.A science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) must be considered.Superior research, analytical, and writing skills are highly preferred.Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, are necessary.The ability to multi-task and prioritize is also required.Prefer candidates with immediately transferable skills and strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized schools.Strong project management skills and attention to detail will be critical to success.J.D. degree.8+ years of litigation experience.CA Bar admission.Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.Location: San Diego, CA This Amlaw firm is best known for allowing its associates to find a balanced work load that best suites them.
