The candidate will work on complex commercial litigation cases, primarily focused on the recovery of insurance proceeds for environmental cleanup. Must have demonstrable experience handling civil lawsuits from intake through trial (or, assisting at trial). This boutique law firm, founded in 2003, is based in Edwards, Washington. The firm's major practice areas include environmental remedial and regulatory actions, construction claims and bid protests, design professional malpractice, real estate broker malpractice, general commercial matters, and insurance law. The firm has a developing client base of public and private sector entities including companies and municipal governments.Additional Skills: The candidate must have the critical thinking skills necessary for developing strategies and arguments for the presentation of cases. Must have exemplary communication skills, both verbal and in writing; ability to communicate and discuss complex legal concepts and documents with others in the firm, as well as with clients and judges. Must have a high degree of organization and attention to detail. Must have capable of managing a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a legal team that recognizes the best strategies are developed only after thoughtful consideration of input from all team members. Must be able to manage one's time and timely complete assignments with a work product that can be readily integrated into the legal team's deliverables.
