LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR ABERDEEN, MD Seeking to hire a Linux System Administrator to support the Army Research Lab DSRC, located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland. The selected system administrator will work with a team of engineers to review and define configurations, create automation scripts to deploy and configure network assets, review and deploy software applications, and provide support for testing, demonstration, and technical interchange meetings to include troubleshooting, patching, hardening, and configuration management. The successful candidate will possess the following; Customer-service oriented Attentive to detail Self-motivated Works well in teams Flexibility in approach to finding solutions Ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities Quick to learn new technologies Willing to respond to occasional off-hours outages and take part in subsequent service restoration efforts Requirements : Top Secret Security Clearance DoD 8570 IAT II (or better) Certification (i.e. Security+) OS Software Certification (i.e. Linux+) US Citizenship Required Experience : Puppet Unix and ability to create/ maintain scripts VMware Computer & System Certificates STIG Compliance Kickstart Preferred Experience: Networking Ovirt Slurm PBS Zabbix Radix/ eMASS (or similar scanning tools) Archival Storag Systems HPE Amanda Backup Software This is a full-time, fully-funded, temp-to-hire position in Aberdeen, MD.
