OVERVIEW OF ROLE: The Line Cook will be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintain sanitation standards. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $16 per hour BENEFITS: • 401(k)• Dental Insurance• Employee discount• Flexible schedule• Flexible spending account• Health insurance• Life insurance• Vision insurance• Paid time off• Referral program• Vision insurance• Employee Assistance Program• Flexible schedule Shift: • Morning shift• Weekly day range• Weekends as needed Ability to Relocate: Lancaster, PA 17601: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person Responsibilities:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Prepare the basic components of each dish on our menu.• Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures.• Ensure that the kitchen, food prep areas, and food storage areas meet cleaning standards.• Work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed.• Monitor product freshness and rotate out old products based on the restaurant schedule.• Run a Char Grill and check temperatures on steaks.• Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications:ESSENTIAL SKILLS:• High level of professionalism.• Excellent verbal communication skills.• Strong teamwork skills.• Customer service oriented, ensures every guest has an outstanding experience. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:• A minimum of one (1) year of ala carte, line cooking experience in a high-volume environment, is required.• A high school diploma or GED, is preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:• Ability to lift at least twenty-five (25) pounds.• Ability to perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting, and grasping.• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
