About us: Montgomery Heart and Wellness is a health and wellness clinic that offers comprehensive and personalized medical care with a focus on promoting overall health and wellness. Our center is known for dietary and cardiovascular risk factor reduction while designing a customized lifestyle plan for our patients - with a particular emphasis on plant-based nutrition. The Opportunity: We are currently seeking a dedicated, passionate Entry Level Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen staff. This role will involve preparing and cooking a variety of different dishes, adhering strictly to our plant-based and health-conscious menu. A suitable candidate would be closely supervised and trained by our professional kitchen staff, and supported in developing their culinary skillset in a highly nurturing setting. Job Responsibilities: Preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with recipes and instruction. Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and follow all safety standards. Ensuring the preparation station and the kitchen is set up for smooth operation. Cooperating with all team members to ensure the delivery of an excellent dining experience. Maintaining proper culinary equipment care and sanitation. Desired Qualifications: A passion for cooking, and a desire to learn more about plant-based nutrition. Previous kitchen experience would be beneficial, although not essential as full training would be provided. Must have effective communication and organizational skills. The ability to work efficiently and keep calm, under pressure. Must be able to work flexibly in terms of hours, as weekends and evenings shifts will be frequent. Nice to Haves: Completion of Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. A recognized cooking qualification would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils. Previous experience with plant-based or vegan cooking. Knowledge of dietary needs and allergens.
