This job is perfect for someone with excellent customer service skills and the drive to deliver delicious quality food to our customers. Our in-house restaurant and bar, JR's, features indoor and outdoor seating with billiard tables, darts, and corn hole. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LINE COOK/PREP COOK As a part-time Line Cook/Prep Cook, you are essential to the success of our restaurant. You are passionate about good food and exceeding our customers' expectations. Each shift, you can be found in our kitchen preparing and cooking food that is delicious and delivered in a timely manner. You carefully follow recipes and work hard to ensure quality and consistency. In addition to the proper preparation of food, you make sure it's properly stored, stocked, rotated, and handled. If there are any ticket issues or shortages, you notify your manager. You inspect food prep and serving areas regularly to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices. Keeping things clean, you handle daily opening and closing duties as well as dishwashing. Your reliability and consistency of showing up to work on time with a positive attitude ensures your success! You love the camaraderie that comes with working as part of a cohesive culinary team in a tightly-run kitchen. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you are never bored and time goes by quickly. QUALIFICATIONS 2-3 years of experience Physical ability to lift 40 lbs Knowledge of proper health code guidelines Ability to work nights and weekends Must be 18 years of age Do you work well as part of a team? Are you quick on your feet and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment? Do you have excellent customer service and time management skills? Can you read and follow directions well?
