Job summary: Pay: $14.00-$17.00 per hour, based on experience . Part-time position The Line cook qualifications and skills: Basic written and verbal communication skills Organizational skills Accuracy and speed in executing tasks. Ability to work as a team member. Follows directions and instructions. Follow all portion sizes and guidance for dishes and recipes. Show up on time and ready for work every day. Maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful situation. Treat all coworkers with respect including FOH staff. Store food products in compliance with safety practices ( e.g., in refrigerators) Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area. Work Experience Requirements Proven work experience as a Line Cook Knowledge of cooking, techniques, and food in general Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations How to properly use a knife Always be willing to stay focused on the task at hand. Ability multi-task under pressure Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends. Serve Safe certified Educational Requirements : High school diploma or GED One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook.
