LIMITED X-RAY TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR Location: 2301 W. Ashton Blvd Lehi, UT 84043 Status: Part - Time / Non - Exempt Hours: Tuesday - Thursday, 6:00 - 9:00 PM Pay / Salary: $23.70 / Hour BENEFITS: Full benefits are only available to full-time employees; however, because we encourage educational development for our staff and faculty, as a part-time employee averaging 15 hours a week over three months of employment with us, you and your dependents could be eligible for our MTECH tuition waiver. RESPONSIBILITIES With a better idea of what you'd get from employment with us, y ou probably want to know what you'd be doing, and what we expect. Your responsibilities would include, but not be limited to: Organization, administration, continuous review, planning development, and general effectiveness of clinical experiences for students enrolled in the Limited X-ray Technology program Instructs, manages and supervises students in the classroom and lab Maintains student-oriented approach with professional classroom and lab conditions Annually evaluates the lab for needed equipment, supplies or upgrades Develops, maintains, and publishes a syllabus for each course, shared with students at first class meeting Develops lessons plans and exams Evaluates student understanding of instruction and lab competencies by means of written and practical exams Stays current in the field of radiology and maintains professional certification Makes regular updates to curriculum, as industry evolves Participates in regular professional development activities sponsored by the Office of Teaching and Learning Creates an industry advisory board, made up of local employers. Makes regular contact with industry Set up Affiliation agreements with the facilities willing to sponsor a student externship Attends and participates in faculty, department, advisory and campus meetings, graduation ceremonies, and faculty development training Actively participates in COE accreditation assignments including writing the program narrative, and preparing evidence in compliance with established standards. Teaches safety as a regular daily component of skill practice Familiarizes self with MTECH policy and procedure, and follows it Records and enters student attendance, performance grades, completion and placement for all adult students Holds students and self to professional standards of uniform and grooming for the field Ensures classroom and lab safety and cleanliness Upholds the MTECH Mission Statement QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS Current ARRT Credential and and maintains it as current throughout employment Current State License in Registered Practical Technologist OR Radiologic Technology and maintains it as current throughout employment Minimum two years of experience working as a Limited X-ray Technologist OR Radiologic Technologist. An Associates degree or higher from an accredited institution Compliance with the ARRT Standards and Rules of Ethics Last, but not least, we appreciate and support our current staff and are equally excited about our new hires.
