About the Park : Located in Columbus, Ohio, our RV Park offers campers an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors, while having some of the comforts of home. Our property provides ample privacy to relax and enjoy life. About the Job: Job Summary: This position is responsible for surveying the pool and conducting rescues to help weak or injured swimmers get to safety. Their duties include speaking with swimmers to enforce swimming rules keeping track of each swimmer in the water and administering first aid to injured swimmers. Job Requirements : Opening and closing the pool each day according to scheduled hours Checks the pool for hazardous conditions when arriving Maintains active surveillance of the pool area. Knows and reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with CCR policies and procedures; completes related reports as required. Responds to challenges with possible solutions in a timely manner Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool area. Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available. Closely monitoring activities related to the pool area, identifying any safety issues throughout the shift Directs swimmers out of water in dangerous conditions. Closely monitoring weather reports to make sure guests remain safe. Maintain a clear pool environment. Leadership Competencies: Inclusion Critical Thinking and Decision Making Emotional Maturity Qualification s: Minimum age of 16 Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and Basic First Aid Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness. Work Environment and Physical Demands : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physically perform all skills required of a lifeguard. Hear noises and distress signals in an aquatic environment, including in the water and anywhere around the zone of responsibility. Remain alert with no lapses of consciousness. See and observe all sections of an assigned zone or area of responsibility.
