Retention Bonus after 6 months of continuous employment School Social Worker is responsible for: Conduct workshops for parents Make needed referrals for health and professional services and access to public benefits; Provide workshops and support to school staff to educate them on the issues facing students with mental health matters and the social-emotional needs; provide services based on the child's IEP (Individual Education Plan) holds a case load of residential students containing of 4-6 cases, assists with other cases as needed per the lead social worker or clinical director Provide teacher outreach, gathering information about students (also keeping track of which teachers responded and reaching out a second time to those who have not) and for information from teachers for our special education students Attend weekly counseling department and attendance meetings Utilizes interventions drawn from evidence-based psychotherapeutic methodology Demonstrates competence in dealing with children and families from diverse backgrounds Requirement: Licensed Masters Level Social Worker, marriage and family therapist or mental health counselor Minimum 3-5 years of previous clinical experience preferred Previous experience in medical of mental health field preferred Additional benefits include Agency paid: Life Insurance Short Term and Long Term disability Free meals in our onsite cafeteria The school social worker is responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy to children and their families or caregivers within the residential program and Grove Street Academy.
