Neuroscience Group has a Full-Time position available for a team-oriented LPN Neurotoxin Specialist. This position will work 4 days per week / 32 hours per week. Day off during the week may vary depending on work loan and patient volume. As an integral member of the Clinical Services Team, the Neurotoxin Specialist performs functions that are vital the authorization, scheduling, and coordination of cares for all Neurotoxin Patients.For over thirty years, Neuroscience Group has provided excellent neurologic care for the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin. Ours is the only medical facility in the area that combines neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic spine surgery, interventional and non-interventional pain management and physical therapy. Our practice has grown to over 40 providers and serves patients in nine outlying clinics located throughout the region. Our mission is to improve lives by providing the very best in brain, spine and pain care and we do that by living our company core values: compassionate care, teamwork, fiscal responsibility, continuous learning, leadership and community involvement.RESPONSIBILITIES: Understands and maintains confidentiality standards in compliance with State and Federal regulations, including HIPAA. Adheres to strict customer confidentiality standards, recognizing that even acknowledgment of privileged information is prohibited. Certification of insurance benefits as it applies to the precertification process Obtaining precertification/preauthorization from payers for Botox Botox appointment scheduling Neurotoxin Supply Chain Management Maintains and organizes the Botox refrigerator Place Neurotoxin Orders in Patient Charts Submitting prescriptions to specialty pharmacies Managing patient follow-up post Botox injection Maintains good communication with the patient and all adjuvant teams working with Neurotoxin Patients Physicians Clinical Service Lines Reimbursement and Billing Teams Responsible for entering accurate information into patients' electronic medical records. Responsible for answering phone calls and returning calls to patients regarding scheduling/rescheduling Regularly attends all team and staff meetings Perform other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Current LPN License in the state of Wisconsin Excellent communication and customer service skills Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced setting One year's experience in an outpatient setting preferred Prior experience with prior-authorization preferred Prior experience with EPIC preferred Organization and time management skills BENEFITS:At Neuroscience Group we offer a very competitive salary.
