CBHC has oppty for various weekend shifts Licensed Practical Nurse Crisis Services and Recovery Units Position Summary: LPN to provide services at Crisis Services or the Recovery Unit, and availability to cover various shifts. Minimum Requirements: 1. FL LPN License; prefer minimum two years of nursing experience, and must have experience working in a psychiatric setting.2. Knowledge of recovery is an asset.3. Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills required to ensure accurate progress notes and treatment plans.4. Strict patient confidentiality is required.5. Requires strong computer skills in order to enter and retrieve information in an electronic medical record.6. LPN must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to positively communicate with patients, clinical team members, caregivers and community representatives. Work Responsibilities: 1. Does physical examinations under the review of an RN. Provides nursing care; discusses medical changes with the patient; performs blood pressure checks; gives injections; provides medication and diagnosis-related information to patients and answers questions as appropriate.2. Takes calls from patients and insures that patients are provided with proper information, appointments, and/or prescription refills.3. Reviews patient's's medical charts and transcribes and/or prepares prescription documents for doctor's or ARNP's review and signature.4. Maintains comprehensive and timely documentation.5. LPNs provide work direction to Behavioral Health Technicians.6. Can handle other duties when needed; transports, directing patient care, helping on the unit. Why Charlotte Behavioral Health Care?
