Job title: Social Worker (LCSW or LMSW) Work Location: Senior Care Reports to: Director of Social Services Job Type: PRN Experience 2(+) years in an acute healthcare and/or mental health setting is strongly preferred Current license in the state of MS (required) Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Certified Social Worker designation (required) CPR/BLS (required) Education: Master's degree in Social Work Schedule: PRN Benefits: PRN staff are not eligible for benefits Work Remotely: No Position Summary: Performs bio-psychosocial assessments, gathering information from patients and family members as appropriate. Provide initial summary based on assessment. Conducts group therapy and psycho-educational groups as recommended by interdisciplinary team. Provides individual and family therapy as recommended by interdisciplinary treatment team. Assists with development of Master Treatment Plan. Complete Admission and Discharges accordingly to Policy & Procedures. Provide Case Management of all patients. Participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of Behavioral Health programs goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: lncludes (but are not limited to): Participate in continuing education through self-directed learning to maintain/improve professional development that meets at least minimum CEU requirements for license. Have good leadership skills. Have the ability to multi-task. Ensures that the patient's rights to fair and equitable treatment, self determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights including the right to wage a complaint are met. Maintains CONFIDENTIALITY of all patient care information to assure that the patient's right's are protected. Displays a positive attitude and communication skills toward staff, patient, and family members. Abides by Polices and Procedures established by the employer. Abides by Social Work Code of Ethics and polices and procedures of employer in providing quality patient care. Must maintain current license. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: The Social Worker must have the ability to move around freely, walk and stand for long periods of time; use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired; use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls; bend or twist their body; understand the speech of another person and speak clearly so listeners can understand; and see details of objects that are less than a few feet away and at a distance. The Social Worker must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds on an as needed basis.
