Summary Under limited supervision, work as part of the Council's legislative team performing complex administrative and analytical work. The Legislative Assistant reports to assigned Councilmember and will assist in day-to-day legislative and administrative operations as well as be an integral part of the team responsible for planning, executing, and ensuring the effectiveness of the Council's legislative and policy agenda; must be able to attend evening meetings. Employee serves at the pleasure of the assigned elected official. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED (Education will be verified) and three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative office experience. Associate's degree in business or public administration and experience in a legislative office highly desirable This is a non-represented position.
