An elder law firm in Plano, TX is seeking to fill an immediate opening for a full-time, positive, professional Legal Assistant . Our fast-paced office is looking for a team player who possesses exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and people skills, including the ability to listen and express empathy and concern. The position entails managing, preparing, and submitting Medicaid and other public benefit applications, communicating with the Health & Human Services Commission, communicating with skilled nursing facilities, and assisting clients in gathering financial account statements and other necessary documents. The ideal candidate has an interest in working with senior adults and their families, is capable of communicating with confidence and compassion, and is proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
