Description:

Organizes, recommends and facilitates the activities involved in the development, implementation and administration of personnel training and development programs. Conducts research to assess training requirements; develops course content, materials and coverage. Schedules, supervises and assists in conducting training classes. Reviews and recommends outside training resources for possible internal utilization. Recommends and organizes employee fundraising drives and events. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Practice CBC core values: Make It Right Make It Easy Make It Personal Supports and emulates all CBC cultural and educational initiatives. Will coordinate with subject matter experts (SME's) pertaining to technical education programs as assigned. Will facilitate recorded webinars specific to CBC's mission and vision to further the productivity of professional growth. Coordinates the pre- and post-testing of training participants to measure training effectiveness. Administers the educational programs via the LMS and/or in person as directed by L&D management. Serves as the Credit Union librarian and maintains current and pertinent material for optimal utilization. Facilitates the educational programs and supports L&D management. Performs other duties as required or requested in order to achieve Credit Union and departmental goals and objectives. Understands and follows Credit Union policies and procedures. Performs other duties and/or functions that may be assigned either on a permanent or temporary basis. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and ability required of an individual to satisfactorily perform the essential duties of this job. Knowledge of credit unions and the governing agency NCUA. Working knowledge of facilitation techniques in an adult education space as well as the ability to assist with course content development Excellent verbal communication skills to include delivering information in a professional, friendly, effective and creative manner to individual and groups of team members. Ability to listen and respond well to questions and to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Ability to provide feedback and suggestions in a tactful and diplomatic manner. Ability to lead a class and/or facilitate meetings to include creating an agenda, motivating and soliciting participation, engaging the audience and keeping them on-track and focused. Proficient written communication skills to include writing clearly, creatively and informatively; editing and proofing work for spelling and grammar. Excellent service skills to include responding promptly to team members and leadership in a friendly, tactful, and timely manner. Proficient computer skills e.g. Prezi/PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. Possess the ability to learn new technology and software. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS). Problem solving and decision making skills that are sound and timely; to include, but not limited to thinking outside of the box. Ability to effectively manage time, organize, plan and schedule with minimal supervision Ability to attend local and out-of-area conferences/seminars and networking events to acquire knowledge of new training techniques and methodologies. Ability to work on a consistent basis on scheduled days and at scheduled times. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma and at least three years of previous adult education facilitation and/or development. Ability and desire to earn training certification from the Association of Talent Development (ATD). Above and beyond exceptional service skills are required. Preferred Education and/or Experience: Experience moving and inspiring professional adults is strongly preferred ATD Trainers Certification Experience with L&D in a financial institution Recent and previous experience with the BVS LMS Platform PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable a team member with disabilities to perform the essential duties. This position is of light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily tasks. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally required to stand and walk while conducting training session. Speech and auditory capability are essential to delivering and receiving information during training sessions and communicating on a daily basis with team members and leadership. Requires constant use of hands and eyes for computer usage. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: May be required to travel to other CBC locations to conduct specialized training. Must possess reliable transportation and a valid California driver's license with current auto insurance. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work area is a well-lighted, air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. The noise level is moderate. WORK SCHEDULE: Workweek will be 40 hours and some overtime may be required. Occasional attendance at meetings before or after scheduled hours may be required. Leadership reserves the right to change any team member's work schedule to meet the operational needs of CBC. Furthermore, leadership reserves the right to reassign any team member, either temporarily or permanently, to work at another CBC location.
