Lead Service Electrician - Commercial Job Summary: The Lead Service Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs a wide range of electrical systems in commercial facilities. These systems include electrical control, wiring, power distribution, and lighting systems. Additionally, the Lead Service Electrician provides support in the field to help train and develop other Service Electricians on the team. Primary Responsibilities Provides technical support and leadership to other Service Electricians on the team. Trains and develops teammates to help them be successful in all aspects of their job. Diagnoses electrical issues through observation, testing and setup as required. Handles the following electrical repairs: testing/repair/replacement and general troubleshooting and/or repair of electrical control, wiring, power distribution, and lighting systems. Performs planned maintenance and inspections as indicated in service agreements. Completes service contracts, quoted service projects and on-demand service calls as directed. Responsible for updating work orders in an electronic work order system. Quotes advanced electrical work. Occasionally attends meetings with customers. Develops relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction. Participates in the on-call rotation. Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on company service vehicle. Safely drives company vehicle, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all safety requirements. Requirements: Minimum 8 years of electrical service and/or electrical construction experience. Leadership ability Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial electrical systems including but not limited to wiring, switches, interior lighting, lighting controls, pole lights, outlets, panels, and low voltage circuits. Strong knowledge of National Electrical Codes. Ability to read and understand diagrams and blueprints. Estimating/quoting ability Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and have good written and verbal communication skills. Must always demonstrate strong business ethics. Basic computer skills. Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation. High School Diploma or GED. Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
