DESCRIPTION Michels Canada is looking for a Lead/Senior Estimator, Pipe Services to join our growing preconstruction team! Working directly with a team of estimators and proposal specialists, the estimator will be bidding on the rehabilitation of aging pipes, mains, culverts, vaults and utility holes. This position is going to be based in Toronto, ON. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Provide support to the team during tendering phase of all projects. Assemble accurate, timely and well-organized estimates and new project set-up documents, including bids, construction management, design builds, cost estimates and control budgets. Utilize your technical abilities to analyze drawings and specifications. Coordinate tender process and maintain a good relationship with clients, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, end users and suppliers. Create and issue quotes/proposal submission documents.
