Closing Date: January 19, 2024 Reporting to the Senior Lead, Human Health, the Lead, Regional Water Monitoring, Surface Water is responsible for planning, supervising, and implementing water monitoring programs to support environmental performance and compliance for regional programs and projects and mining operations. This will include supervising two employees, having the opportunity to participate in field activities and work collaboratively to support the water teams in the Elk Valley. To be successful, we are looking for an individual with outstanding leadership, communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal direction and display initiative on tasks to advance them to completion. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a capacity for practical problem-solving. Strong multitasking, prioritization of competing deliverables and ability to see projects to completion are vital for success in this role. This is an exciting opportunity to advance the objectives of the Elk Valley Water Quality Plan and participate in the collection and interpretation of surface water monitoring data to understand environmental, legal, and compliance risks, and advise planning and management actions.
