LEAD QA TECHNICIAN - B Shift

QA Team LeadBase salary $ 26.00Position Description: QA Team Lead will need to perform and understand the following in addition to QA tech responsibilities:Support the supervisor on process of pre and post-shift activitiesRespond to Q.A. inspection callsRespond/assist supervisor in delegating tasks and insuring timely instructions for production changesEnsure standardized work is followedEnsure that employees have all the right equipment and supplies to do their jobsDay-to-day mentoring of employees Employee will be expected to fulfill other tasks that are assigned by management such as covering on the line for employees who are absent and training and cross-training other employeesTrain and cross train QA techsCoordinate with QA Supervisors to make sure techs understand specs for daily productionQualificationsMust demonstrate and be able to pass all required safety courses provided by JBSMust be self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of completing all work assignments with minimal supervisionMust be able to motivate, train, and teach employees their job to JBS standardsMust be willing to work with line supervisors to make placement decisions and help with make sheetMust have knowledge of all jobs on designated line or have the ability to learn themMust be confident in coaching and counseling employees about qualification issues (not discipline)Proficiency in the jobs on the lineStrong record of safetyAttendance will be examined, less than 3 points preferredGood Communication SkillsTrack record of positive Work PerformancePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSConstant walking and or standingUse of hands to fingersFeel objectsReach with hands and armsLift up to 50 lbsVision capabilities EXPOSURE/RISKCold, wet and damp environmentStanding for prolonged periods of timeUneven walking surfaces and slippery floorsExposure to blades STANDARD EQUIPMENTHard HatSafety GlassesHair Net/Beard NetAppropriate GMP equipmentSafety Toe BootsSpecific EquipmentHearing protectionFAILURE TO WEAR OR USE LIFE SAVING PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) WILL RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION INCLUDING UP TO TERMINATION.I have been instructed and understand the proper use, fit and care of personal protective equipment and the hazards associated with the job.
