The Denver Athletic Club is hiring a lead line cook. JOB DUTIES: Assume 100% responsibility for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served Are responsible for in depth knowledge of all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/safety information Prepare a variety of food items using necessary kitchen equipment such as ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers. Plate all dishes in accordance with DAC guidelines assuring that each item is cooked to the Chef and Guest's specifications before serving Complete station prep lists with direction from Chef Show up on time for scheduled shifts ready to work Work with a sense of urgency and a dedication to quality Prep, stocks, and maintains sufficient levels of food products to assure a smooth service period Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and working area Handle, stores, and rotates all products properly in accordance with Health Department standards and DAC Sanitation guidelines Help others as often as possible in their duties QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 2 year of experience in the restaurant industry Banquet experience a plus Fine Dining experience a plus Private club experience a plus Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to communicate clearly with management staff Must be able to work well with and support fellow Team Members Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours) Benefits: Daily meal benefits Discounted RTD pass or reduced parking downtown Rarely late nights Health, dental and vision for full-time Team Members after 60 days PTO accrual immediately upon hire 401K Saving Options with employer match Employee assistance program Paid holidays after 90 days Applicants must be able to pass a 'Colorado Friendly' pre-employment drug screen.
