A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER As a Lead Electrical Engineer, your services are in high demand by our clients. Applying your exceptional engineering knowledge, utilizing SKM software, you engage in analysis and design for fault calculations, load flow, coordination, arc flash hazards, motor starting, MCC design, reliability, grounding, cable pulling, lighting designs, and more. With attention to detail, you ensure that projects meet the requirements of applicable electrical codes. You also carefully specify and recommend for purchase the right electrical equipment for specific projects. In addition to your technical and analytical skills, you get to use your interpersonal skills as you collaborate with teammates and clients. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 10 years of experience in electrical engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license (The ability and agreement to obtain a PE within 6 months of hire will be considered.) PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Experience with power distribution systems in an industrial setting, code requirements, instrumentation, controls, project cost-estimating, specifying and purchasing electrical equipment, and lighting design is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Any experience in agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, oilseeds, biofuels, grain milling & handling, pet food or animal feed would be helpful.
