Lead Carpenter/Maintenance Worker

Description:
GENERAL JOB DUTIES To coordinate and assist in all phases of construction and remodeling of Kreider Services, Inc, buildings. To provide general maintenance to Kreider Services, Inc. property and equipment. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES 1. Function as site foreman for all major and minor material repairs on all Kreider Services buildings. 2. Provide project estimates as required including time and material estimates. 3. Complete all major and minor carpentry repairs on Kreider Services buildings and properties, including dry wall and painting. 4. Complete flooring removal and installation. 5. Complete concrete projects as needed. 6. Complete plumbing repairs as needed. 7. Complete electrical repairs as needed. 8. Complete building repair requests as needed. 9. Carry the on-call phone as assigned. 10. Coordinate with vendors for product ordering and delivery. 11. Pick up building materials at various locations as needed. 12. Ability to work and drive in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES 1. Assist with Maintenance/Housekeeping duties as assigned. 2. Provide Snow removal as required. 3. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Five years experience in building trades and/or building maintenance, preferred. 2. Valid driver's license with driving record acceptable to Agency insurer. 3. Minimum 18 years of age. 4. Tools required to complete the tasks. PHYSICAL DEMANDS 1. Works in a wide variety of settings, including outdoors in extreme weather conditions. 2. Frequently travels within to all KSI locations. 3. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 4. Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, talk, hear, perform repetitive motions. 5. Subject to noise that would cause them to have to shout, includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, etc. 6. Can be exposed to body waste products. 7. Subject to inside and outside environments with potential to work in extreme heat or cold for periods over one hour.
