Dragonfly Pond Works is an environmental service company specializing in stormwater management. Since 2006, Dragonfly has provided routine maintenance and repairs on stormwater devices, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and underground facilities. The Company services the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, from Maryland to Florida with over 100 employees. Role and Responsibilities While each project is different, the technician's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Review of and understanding of project notes and materials lists for all projects assigned to ensure tasks are completed as specified Complete repairs on a variety of ponds, lakes and other stormwater control measures as assigned Prepare project site in advance of dredging Clearing vegetation and obstacles, setting up geotube dredge bags, launching and assembling dredge and associated tubing Operate small pump dredge while being in the water Operate tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner as necessary to complete project scope Includes, but is not limited to: pump dredge, chainsaw, string timmers, UTV, jon boat, kayak, hand tools, etc. Communicate effectively with other crew members and Regional Manager to clarify project scope as needed and to avoid return visits to project sites Complete and submit thorough Project Completion Reports Inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment to ensure all tools are in safe, working condition at all times Underpinnings of Success Strong swimming ability and comfortable being in the water for several hours per day Willingness to travel Mechanically inclined with the ability to identify and troubleshoot problems on the job site Background and experience in lake/pond dredging, stormwater maintenance, landscaping, commercial mowing, turf management, grading, erosion control Completes services on accounts in a professional manner Ability to regularly work on slopes, around water and in variable weather conditions Executes tasks with high attention to detail and to timely completion of jobs Understands and follows all company safety policies Results-driven Collaborative team spirit - works well as part of a team Ability to lift and move up to 80 lbs Possesses core values compatible with those of Dragonfly Pond Works (Passion, Teamwork, Quality of Work, and Simplicity) Why choose Dragonfly Pond Works?
