About the role Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary part-time Laboratory Assistant - Production to join our dynamic Supply Chain Operations West team. About the role Reporting directly to the Laboratory Supervisor for Component Production, you will be working in the manufacturing area of the laboratory, performing functions related to the preparation and storage of blood and blood components in accordance with all regulatory and Canadian Blood Services' policies, procedures and practices. Key responsibilities include: Receive, backss and produce whole blood and apheresis platelets and plasma into requested blood components Preparation and storage of blood components End label and store blood components Performs bacterial detection Performs other laboratory duties as required.
