Practice Area: Litigation - Labor & Employment, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, Job Overview: A law firm in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a skilled Labor and Employment Law Litigation Associate Attorney to provide comprehensive legal services to clients, focusing on labor and employment law compliance, litigation, and counseling.Job Duties:Advise clients on strategies for labor and employment law compliance.Perform legal research, draft motions, and pleadings in court and administrative agency proceedings.Teach clients about new labor and employment laws impacting their business.Defend and litigate a variety of employment-related claims and agency charges including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, breach of contract, etc.Prepare for trial, including taking and defending depositions, written discovery, and other case preparation.Draft briefs, plans, position statements, and dispositive motions.Counsel clients on the creation of sound employment policies, work rules, and related agreements.Requirements:License to practice law in Pennsylvania.Degree from an accredited law school.Excellent communication skills.Solid writing and editing skills with a focus on developing thoughtful and persuasive messaging.Ability to work in and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.Strong organizational, time management, and project management mindset.Commitment to professionalism, cooperation, and teamwork.A strong drive to provide proactive, client-focused legal service.Experience in employment/labor and/or commercial litigation.Exposure to employment/labor-related agency procedures.Prior work advising clients on legal compliance.Familiarity with e-discovery procedures.Education and Certifications:Degree from an accredited law school.License to practice law in Pennsylvania.Skills:Excellent communication skills.Solid writing and editing skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in legal research.Experience in litigation and counseling.Knowledge of employment/labor laws and regulations.Location: Pittsburgh, PABenefits offered:Medical, Dental, and Vision plans for individuals and families.Company-paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability plans.Flexible Spending Account.Profit Sharing 401k Plan.Paid Time Off and Holidays.Lateral Attorney Referral Program.Tuition Assistance.Marketing Resources and Assistance.
