Experience in higher education is highly valued for this position.Duties:Provide legal advice and representation to clients on various labor and employment matters.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client objectives.Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and administrative proceedings.Assist in the preparation for trials and hearings, including witness preparation and evidence gathering.Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases and projects.Stay abreast of developments in labor and employment law and regulations.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing labor and employment law.Experience in higher education law is highly regarded.Licensed to practice law in New York State or eligible to waive into the New York State Bar.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute service strategies.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to waive into the New York State Bar.Skills:Legal research and analysis.Drafting legal documents.Negotiation and mediation.Trial preparation and advocacy.Client relationship management.Case management and strategy development.
