KTEC Facilities Project Engineer

Description:
Position Overview: Assist KTEC facilities with project management, capital projects, facilities design, and maintenance. Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors and suppliers for the design and implementation of equipment and facility infrastructure. Duties & Responsibilities: Lead facility and equipment projects, to include; facility remodels, cranes, racking, paint booths, compressors, EV chargers, furniture, etc. Assist with new site developments including; due diligence, site/facility design, planning/zoning review and permitting. Contact local contractors for RFPs. Develop facility and equipment standards for KTEC facilities. Provide technical advice and suggestions for facility and equipment specifications. Analyze project costs and prepare budgets. Assist in development of technical drawings and engineering plans with Manufacturing Engineering as needed. Plan and coordinate infrastructure and equipment projects, maintenance schedules and activities. Coordinate and oversee contractor activities. (equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, etc.) Position Requirements: Position involves 50% + travel. Must have project management experience, experience working in construction, or facility design and prefer a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent area. Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and be a self-motivator with a sense of urgency. Project Management experience required. Background in construction a plus. Basic knowledge of electrical a plus. Experience with M.I.G. welding, paint finishing, air compressors and various other equipment a plus. Computer literacy is required and experience with AutoCAD is required. Physical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position: The ability to walk and perform normal lifting and bending. Ability to travel via airline, automobile, train or other public transits as needed. Must have strong analytical skills, logical thinking and able to effectively communicate with industry and construction professionals.
