Culinary Manager Location: Rutherford, NJ (American Dream Mall) Role Description: THE GAMEROOM, Powered by Hasbro, is looking to hire a meticulous, experienced, and grounded kitchen professional to help us lead the culinary team. This position will require the ability to work independently, as an initiative-taker, and as part of a collaborative group, receiving and delegating responsibilities.Utilizing your deep hospitality expertise, and strength in multi-tasking, you will need to navigate through the nuances of a start-up environment. With the best possible team by your side, you will ensure both the crew and guests have the best possible GAMEROOM experience. Culinary Managerial Responsibilities: Build a top-notch culinary team through training and development so execution is consistently top tier. Assisting in supporting the daily operations of the kitchen. Ensuring that all recipes, food preparations and presentations meet THE GAMEROM specifications. Maintaining a safe, orderly and sanitized kitchen. Executing schedules, managing inventory controls and food and labor cost Manage food and operating supplies inventories. Review guest feedback and provide on-the-job coaching. Required: Commitment to align with the company's core values. A passion for delivering the highest quality guest food experience. Role modeling kitchen professional Current SERV Safe Certification Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Minimum 3 years of high-volume experience in entertainment/hospitality Industry experience with a top 200 chain account Must have initiative and strong interpersonal & communication skills. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays. Preferred: · Associate degree in hospitality or culinary arts· Culinary Experience working in hospitality or entertainment, including startups or brand evolution.· Related experience leading / coaching team members and process / operational improvements.· Inventory and/or food cost management systems & software· R&D, Product or menu development experience Benefits: Additionally, THE GAMEROOM offers:· Annual incentive program (bonus)· Generous flex time/time-off· Medical coverage including dental and vision.· 401K and generous matching program· Opportunity for growth and advancement
