Description:
Looking for a self starter interested in working primarily with dogs, although we do also have a small number of livestock. Duties include but are not limited to: Providing daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and medicating as necessary Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, cages, and other animal housing areas Assisting with bathing and grooming of animals as needed Monitoring the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to management Experience & Ability: Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary, dog training, pet grooming, or pet care setting is preferred Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time Ability to work outside in inclement weather Has reliable transportation to/from Can adapt to changing daily schedule, and work independently If you have a passion for working with animals and providing excellent care, we encourage you to apply for the position of Kennel Assistant.
