Junior Cnc Machinist

Do you have a real interest in CNC Machining but don't have a lot of experience? If yes, then please keep reading... What you need to be successful: Basic to intermediate math skills. Being on time & having a good attendance record. Ability to be coachable and trainable. Desire to learn CNC Machining. Working well in a team environment. Having the aptitude for understanding and using machines or tools. Some experience in a manufacturing environment a plus but no required. The position: You will be operating CNC machines for valuable castings and forgings to manufacture them into quality parts for customers. 1st shift is Monday-Friday, 6am to 4:30pm and 2nd shift is Monday-Friday 4:20pm to 2:50am. 2nd shift pays a 10% shift differential. Must be available for overtime including weekends and during peak production times. Job duties: -Rotate between various departments in production and supporting production as part of initial training. -Follow written instructions and read and apply blueprint specifications. -Performs a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications. -Checks parts for conformance to specifications. -Ability to apply recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are close. -Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area. -Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
