Position Summary: Accountable for the operational management of specific nursing unit(s) or department, including efficient and effective management of human, fiscal, and material resources. Coordinates patient care and care delivery processes. Ensure a culture of safety, quality, service excellence, professionalism, personnel development, and team collaboration that supports the Middlesex Mission and the Department of Nursing vision, philosophy and strategic plan. Minimum qualifications: A Registered Nurse who is a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and is currently licensed to practice in the state of Connecticut Master’s Degree (initiated within 1 year, completed within 3 years) Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing Preferred qualifications: Masters in Nursing Professional certification in clinical area of specialty (eg.
