Job Description: Job Description Job Summary:Reports to the Supervisor or designee and works under the direct supervision of the Physician(s), the Concussion Clinic Insurance Coordinator performs a wide variety of revenue cycle responsibilities and support to the physicians and staff in the clinic. Performs scheduling, referral management, eligibility verification, registration, authorization, check in and check out of patients, co pay collection and physician/hospital billing. Follow all insurance and JACHO regulatory requirements as needed. Assists the physicians and NP's as needed. Assures Patient Experience protocols are followed.Minimum Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, completion of a Medical Assistant course preferred. Knowledge of health Insurance required.Experience: 2-4 years of relevant work experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical/physician's office preferred. 1-3 years Administrative Assistant/Medical Office preferredLicensure and/or Certification: Graduate of a Medical Assistant / Secretary program preferred, State Certification preferred but not requiredSkills: Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task requiredProfessional communication at all timesKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding is required. Knowledge of Meditech preferred.Strong interpersonal communication skills on the phone and in personExcellent customer service skillsAbility to maintain confidential information, prioritize daily tasks and answer clinical questions as needed
