Job DescriptionShort and sweet.iNovex is looking for a Top Secret/SCI (with Polygraph) cleared mid-to-senior level Software Engineer to support a Prime contract dealing with big data modification and machine learning.As a Software Engineer at iNovex, you will focus your skills on developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems. This position will deal with backend Java development supporting an existing software development effort which provides maintenance and enhancements to a high-visibility mission system. What you bring to the team.Experience + Education: You've got the foundations and are eager to learn more! You have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline OR 4 additional years of software engineering experience.14+ years of demonstrated experience is needed for this position.Analyze user requirements to drive software design.Generate performance requirements from user needs.Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.Integrate existing software into new or modified systems.Extensive experience with Java development (1.7 or 1.8).Experience with Machine Learning platforms and Big Data/Cloud Computing.Spark, ElasticSearch, Hadoop, MapReduce, Git and Python.Offer input about the software components of the system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software re-use, and potential use of commercial off the shelf products or government off the shelf products.Give suggestions for improving documentation and software development process standards.Collaboration: You work well on a team as you all work towards solutions. You can take constructive feedback and roll it into your work.Excellent Communication + Problem Solving: You are able to understand problems, break them down, and propose you lead a team you can communicate concepts and inspire others.Curiosity+ Continuous Learning: You are ready to learn and evolve your craft!
