Positions We hire for on a Recurring Basis: Technical Operations Specialist Physical Operations Specialist Due Diligence Analyst Network Engineer Tier 1 Systems Administrator Tier 2 Systems Administrator Mission Manager Watch Officer Training Specialist Exercise Planner Operations Specialist Information Knowledge Manager SOC Analyst I DFIR Technician Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst Threat Hunt Specialist Current JMOC Vacancies and Desired Skillsets Network Engineer: The role involves providing network administrative services to meet business requirements. This includes the installation, configuration, testing, operation, maintenance, and management of networks equipment and configurations, encompassing both hardware and software components to ensure information and information systems security. Responsibilities extend to maintaining computer networks, hardware, software, and related systems, as well as conducting disaster recovery operations and safeguarding data, software, and hardware from potential attacks. Additionally, the incumbent coordinates, plans, and implements network security measures to protect critical assets. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues, along with collaborating with network users to address system problems, are integral aspects of the role. Systems Administrator: Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of a multitude of information systems, services, and applications, ensuring optimal performance and functionality. They manage application, file, and database servers, monitor server logs and availability, develop new release installations and update patch packages using automated tools. Additionally, the Systems Administrator conducts system testing, preventative maintenance, and collaborates with technical specialists on automating networks and associated support systems. They diagnose and resolve system failures, implement necessary changes, and ensure scheduled maintenance and upgrades are completed, while also managing accounts, network rights, and access to systems. Mission Manager: The role involves serving as a bridge between external customers and internal teams, coordinating infrastructure build efforts from design to operational management. Day-to-day operations are managed while fostering innovation and creativity within acceptable risk levels. They analyze risks, conduct feasibility studies, and refine requirements in consultation with customers. Collaboration with architects and developers ensures solutions meet project goals and security requirements. They oversee configuration management, assess business process needs, and justify IT solutions through use cases. Functional requirements are translated into technical solutions, with a focus on documenting user experience and system security. Integration and alignment of system components are ensured, and input into IT planning is provided to meet customer needs efficiently. Cyber Training Coordinator: This role involves evaluating JMOC Directorate work roles to align training with USCYBERCOM Cyberspace Operations and JMOC certification requirements and standards, including DoD 8140 compliance requirements. They conduct complex studies to propose training initiatives and assist in assembling technical Job Qualification Requirements (JQR) products. Additionally, they aid in developing internal training courses for cyber work role certification and coordinate with external training professionals. The position supports JMOC contribution to planning processes and ensures readiness through strategies for training range utilization and exercise forums. They maintain a Training and Readiness Calendar, incorporating relevant objectives into exercises to assess operational processes and employee training levels. Liaison with internal and external stakeholders, attendance at meetings, and preparation of related reports are essential responsibilities. Moreover, they assist in developing and implementing training strategies to support daily combat operations and readiness assessments based on JMET requirements. Automation, communications, and IT cybersecurity are integral aspects of the role, alongside managing records and utilizing electronic training solutions. DoD 8570 Baseline Certifications Per DoD 8570.01 Manual, Appendix 3, IA roles require specific certifications.
