Thank you. Summary: Train, supervise, and schedule employees and participants in the Janitorial Department. Responsible for maintaining sufficient supplies and equipment requiring continuous workflow. Act as liaison with Workforce Development department to help coordinate participant rehabilitation and funded employment programs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Education and/or Experience : High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Two years experience including one-year supervisory experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Provide cordial customer service to both internal customers (employees) and external customers (outside company representatives). Directly responsible for scheduling janitorial employees subject to Building Maintenance Management sign-off and for ensuring payroll hours and/or dollars do not exceed budgets. In conjunction with Building Maintenance Management develop schedules to ensure all floor care and restrooms are cleaned and maintained according to established standards. Inventory and order supplies. Ensure all supplies have current MSDS sheets. Maintain a daily log of problems and concerns regarding department operations and communicate them to Building Maintenance Management. When working second shift, ensure security of facility: including but not limited to locking all perimeter doors/gates in the contract shop, production facility, dock areas, breezeway, and retail stores. Directly responsible for activating security alarms upon departing the store/facility. Document all department operations using written records of observation including but not limited to safety issues/violations and employee performance levels. Submit originals to the Human Resources Department with copies to Building Maintenance Management. Regularly work and supervise all work stations/job functions in the Janitorial Department. Demonstrate the ability to perform to established standards at all workstation/job functions in the department. During an eight-hour shift spends 80% of time supervising employees and 20% doing office work. Ensure regular maintenance of all equipment is performed and documented. Maintain availability to work flexible work schedule. In conjunction with the Building Maintenance Management interview, hire, evaluate, and discharge employees with the concurrence of Chief Financial Officer, Human Resources Department, and CEO. Coordinate department personnel functions according to company policies and procedures; including training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and record keeping, in coordination with the Building Maintenance Management and Human Resources Department. Follow all policies, procedures, and directives of Goodwill Industries assuring safety of personnel or property. Work collaboratively with Workforce Development and Social Services to provide participant services. Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain agency confidentiality. Violation of confidentiality is cause for immediate dismissal. Comply with all health, safety, and fire standards and all local, state, and federal regulations (WISHA & OSHA). Other duties may be assigned. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
