ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. * Cleaning bathrooms and kitchens * Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning windows * Polishing and detailing stainless steel * Various floor work to include stripping and waxing, buffing, and sealing floorsQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Required (Minimum) Qualifications * Have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. * 1 year of previous janitorial and/or housekeeping experience * The ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance and to pass a pre-employment drug screening is requiredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics * The ability to provide excellent janitorial and/or housekeeping services * The ability to be able to effectively communicate and work with a variety of people including, but not limited to, the public, government employees, and other contractors as needed. * Other duties as assignedPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS * This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.WORK ENVIRONMENTWork Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job is performed in an office setting / maintenance room with exposure to computer screens and HVAC / electrical equipment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervising responsibilities are not a requirement of this position.ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base.
