IT Systems Administrator

Summary: This position is an important part of our IT departmental mission to continue providing outstanding internal IT support while researching, testing, planning, and deploying technology that creates a foundation for our company's stability, efficiency, and growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following: Display onsite leadership to help drive the success of our interdepartmental IT initiatives. Provide professional IT support to our Sunland Park facility. Provide professional IT support to our other locations and remote employees. Support all departments with their daily ERP system interactions. Support our Maintenance and Production Team to maintain Smart Line systems. Support our Maintenance and Production Team to maintain smokehouse oven systems. Embrace innovation by understanding needs and recommending solutions. Maintain onsite systems (phone, door security, security cameras, time clocks, etc.) Install, configure, and troubleshoot networking equipment (install physical network connections where needed). Assist IT Team in limiting system downtime and data loss by maintaining, testing, and improving our disaster recovery plan. Assist IT Team to deploy, maintain, and optimize company-wide IT systems. Assist IT Team to monitor, support, and improve company-wide communication systems. Assist IT Team to monitor, review, test, and install company-wide software updates. Assist IT Team to monitor, review, and secure all company-wide systems against cybersecurity threats. Assist IT Team in the migration to cloud architecture when economical and scalable. Support, configure and upgrade company-wide network appliances. Install and upgrade server components and software. Automate repetitive processes wherever possible. Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues. Install, configure, and support product labeling and barcode scanning equipment Install configure, and support employee workstations (computers, laptops, tablets, phones, monitors, printers, scanners, etc.) Perform regular PC maintenance and hardware upgrades (including cleaning fans, replacing power supplies, upgrading drives, etc.) Responding and investigating security and hardware alerts. Physical installation and troubleshooting of wireless access points Physical installation and troubleshooting of network switches. Physical installation and troubleshooting of network printers. Contact approved vendors for technical support. Recommend and maintain Active Directory Permissions Review and test local backups including bare metal images when required. Replace workstations when needed and transfer data or restore them from backups. Perform regular system software updates. Resolve support issues and address user requests as needed Assist in testing ERP System updates before deploying to the live production environment Support and maintain the time clock system for HR/Payroll Support and maintain document scanning devices for document imaging Support and maintain temperature and humidity sensors Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Regular onsite attendance is mandatory. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Must be able to perform each essential duty to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. Ability to quickly understand, troubleshoot, and solve technical challenges. Strong experience and working knowledge (configuring, installing, and/or supporting): Windows Servers (2012 R2, 2016, 2019) Windows Hyper-V Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) Windows Deployment Services Active Directory Group Policy Windows 10 Microsoft Office 365 Microsoft SharePoint Cyber Security (Endpoint, Email, Cloud, Data, Etc) ERP systems (Canopy by Aspen Systems) SQL Database Management Enterprise Telecom Technology Enterprise Networking (firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, VLAN, AP, etc.) PowerShell commands/automation Data-driven smart production line Enterprise Security Camera Systems Enterprise Door Lock Systems Remote Desktop Support Email Routing Troubleshooting printing issues Installing, terminating, and testing Ethernet and Fiber Management and testing of backup/recovery systems. Apple & Android devices Barcode scanners and label printers Network-Attached Storage Jumo and Alkar oven systems PHP/MYSQL websites Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Other Skills and Abilities Must have excellent communication skills and customer service skills. Excellent typing and word processing skills. Must have the ability to multi-task.
