POSITION: IT Support Specialist SUMMARY The IT Support Specialist will have the responsibility for monitoring network infrastructure and components, implementing upgrades and improvements, designing and deploying workstations, servers and software. They will also be responsible for updating accounts LIVE for both ARCO and Hope, and completing various other tasks as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Providing day-to-day technical support to employees for workplace information and communications technology systems. Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting laptops, desktops, workstations, and network system issues. Recommending and specifying hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades Participating in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the organization. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Associate degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related discipline At least 3- 5 years of related experience SKILLS Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer technical issues Knowledge of implementing Local Area Networks (LAN) / VPN Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, MDaemon Knowledge of maintain and installing Routers, switches Knowledge and experience working with and implementing Firewalls Knowledge or Microsoft SQL Server, Crystal Reports Knowledge of Lotus Notes REASONING ABILITY Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written and oral form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Not applicable. OTHER ABILITIES/SKILLS Availability to work on-site.
