Role: This position is responsible for overseeing the information technology needs of the Credit Union. This role involves managing the technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks, to ensure that all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently. They will supervise a team of IT professionals and work closely with other departments to ensure that technology is aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. This role will have responsibility for budgets, vendor relationships, driving initiatives and strategic projects. Here's the short list of typical responsibilities (not exhaustive, of course): Oversees the daily IT operations, service, support, and projects. Owns and optimizes System Security, Cybersecurity and stability of all systems, hardware, and applications. Manages support services and functionality for third party application software. Owns and optimizes implementation, maintenance, and support of IT infrastructure to maximize system and network uptime for current and future needs. Responsible for continuous improvement of IT operations to ensure efficiencies in systems, processes, and procedures. Ensures key processes, standards and procedures are documented. Understands duties and functions of direct reports. Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget. Provides primary support for the company's network and endpoint devices which includes planning, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and system hardware and software. Aligns IT systems to comply with relevant regulatory compliance requirements and security compliance and best practices. Leads self and team as a hands-on leader with emphasis in service delivery, planning and execution. Participates in hiring and termination decisions and recommends promotions. Motivates, coaches, and mentor's staff. Resolves employee conflicts, identifies issues, and provides input towards problem resolution. Last, but not least, here are the typical qualifications for this position: Requires (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree). Requires extensive knowledge Windows OS/Linux OS/virtual machines, Cisco/Meraki network equipment. Requires the ability to discuss technical issues effectively with other technical professionals as well as non-technical users. Requires the ability to work and travel independently and use general office equipment, give speeches, and make presentations. Requires experience with cloud-based platforms. Requires demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred experience with CATO SDWAN and cloud services such as MS O365, MS Azure and AWS. Preferred previous experience supporting various systems and network protocols, ACLs, layer 2/3 networking. Preferred technical planning, engineering, project management and supervisory experience.
