Irrigation Technician

Summary Objective The purpose of this position is to perform skilled maintenance work of average difficulty in the repair and installation of City irrigation systems by inspecting, testing, and diagnosing problems and repairing the City's irrigation systems to ensure they are operating in synchronization with the Citywide grounds maintenance program. This class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Requires two years of experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position requires the successful passing of a background check and drug screening . All applicants must upload an educational diploma/degree and a valid State of Florida Driver's License to the document section of the online application.
