Using an integrated Design-Build approach, we pave the way for every team member to contribute creative solutions. We are looking for Construction Management students for an internship in Highland, St Louis, and Las Vegas offices. This internship seeks to provide hands on experience in Preconstruction . Interns can expect to: Further develop their ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications in a design build environment Learn about and engage in activities in the areas of Preconstruction - estimating, scheduling, logistics, and design Assist with tracking, updating, and distribution of construction documents throughout preconstruction phase Assist with identifying, calling, building relationships with, and soliciting bids from subcontractors Assist in preparing scope sheets for estimates Assist in quantity and material take offs Assist in identifying and analyzing unique features of work on the construction project Assist with Options Studies and Value Engineering for cost savings Job Requirements: The candidate should have: Effective oral and written communication skills; effectively shares knowledge and information A commitment to learning Ability to give/receive constructive feedback Strong collaborative spirit and is a team player Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize accordingly Preferred Technical Experience: Onscreen Takeoff Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook, and Word Bluebeam or Adobe ABOUT THE KORTE COMPANY The Korte Company was founded in 1958 on the belief that professionalism, quality and value-added services are fundamental to a successful company.
