The Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) is a 24-hour referral and critical care hospital located in Fort Wayne, IN. NIVES provides specialized care in Small Animal Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care Services. We serve the clients of NE Indiana, SE Michigan & SW Ohio. We are looking to hire a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team and support our Internal Medicine Department! We are offering up to $1000 hiring bonus for this position! Anticipated Schedule: Full or Part-time position available. Monday – Friday, no weekends! Compensation: $21.50-$23.00 dependent on experience Up to a $1000 hiring bonus! Ideal candidates are friendly, detail oriented, and have strong multi-tasking skills. All candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations with sensitivity and tact. We have an extensive training period. If you’re committed to learning, we can provide the opportunity! Internal Medicine RVT duties include but are not limited to: Assisting the internist Animal restraint Anesthesia monitoring Blood draws Administering medications Radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and chemotherapy. Client communication/patient discharge. Must be interested in caring for patients with complex medical needs. Base Educational Requirements : RVT - High School Diploma or GED, VTNE and veterinary technician state license required.
