Summary:This position will give a student the opportunity to be exposed to the Western Stockmen's production and supply chain operations.This internship opportunity is designed to provide a realistic job preview and lay the solid foundation necessary for future employment in warehouse and retail operations. This is an opportunity for a student to learn firsthand about the various requirements needed to work within a supply chain and retail operations environment in the Animal Health and Feeding industry.Essential Functions/Projects: Ensure appropriate receipt and recordkeeping of inventory. --Perform physical inventory counts and update inventory daily to keep accurate count. May operate heavy equipment when needed. Receives and may physically unload product into the warehouse. May operate forklift and other equipment as necessary to maintain warehouse. Performs related duties such as transmitting information via computer concerning inventory, shipping containers, and storage availability. Entry of products received into the central warehouse each day; and of transfers sent out daily to each SWS store location. Accurately pull and check transfers and orders being pulled for locations and customers. Invoicing Assist with managing outdates to and from the retail locations. Will have the ability to assist in the retail store operations as well as provide sales assistance.Duration:This is an ongoing Internship throughout the summer months and into the school year.Requirements: Minimum GPA of 3.0 Currently enrolled in an accredited university and completed at least freshman year with an emphasis in supply chain management.
