We're looking for someone passionate about providing excellent customer service to our clients and policyholders. As our next Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will show our policyholders the value of being one of our customers by generating insurance quotations and providing coverage advice. You'll also be in charge of giving current policyholders excellent customer service by resolving billing issues, amending policies, and making policy suggestions. If you are looking to grow, we love it when our team wants to improve and grow with us. The ideal candidate for this role has prior customer service experience and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities: • Communicate with the customers about complaints, give acceptable solutions, and follow up to ensure that the problem was fixed• Remain up to date on new marketing initiatives to accurately address insurance-related questions using all available tools• Validate client insurance coverage and present policyholders with proof of insurance documents• Answer incoming call center questions about insurance policies and insurance coverage issues, as well as consumer complaints and general inquiries• Keep track of all customer inquiries and follow up to verify that all questions are answered regarding customer policies• If not licensed in P&C, it would be a goal for you to get licensed in the first few months of employment Qualifications: • Possesses basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and customer database systems• A general understanding of insurance policies and schedules is preferred• Prior work in a customer-facing position or customer service role is required• Must possess exemplary interpersonal skills, communication skills, and active listening skills• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent Compensation: $18.50 - $21 hourly About Company: We are a team of people helping people. Our independent insurance business is based on the relationships we build within our Team, our clients, potential clients, our community, and the companies we work with. As an independent insurance agency, we work for our clients, not one insurance company. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:30. You will be asked to attend early morning, evening, and an occasional Saturday meeting for either networking or to support local and community events.
