Practice Area: Insurance Defense - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 5 Years, A law firm is seeking an Insurance Bad Faith Defense Associate Attorney in Irvine, CA:Job Overview:The Insurance Bad Faith Defense Associate Attorney will defend insurance bad faith and fraud cases, conduct legal research, handle discovery, depositions, and motions, and assist with trial preparation.Duties:Defend insurance bad faith and fraud cases.Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.Conduct depositions of witnesses and experts.Prepare and argue motions in court.Assist with trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.Maintain accurate and timely billing records.Requirements:Admission to the State Bar of California.5-10 years of experience working on the defense of insurance bad faith and fraud matters and/or experience working on Special Investigation Unit (SIU) claims.Experience conducting discovery, taking depositions, preparing and arguing motions, and assisting with trial preparation.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of California.Skills:Legal research and writing.Litigation strategy and case management.Client communication and relationship management.Negotiation and dispute resolution.Proficiency in legal technology and software.Team collaboration and leadership.The firm offers a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, firm-paid life insurance and disability insurance, paid sick time, paid parental leave, flexible vacation policy, 401k, mentorship, firm-sponsored educational opportunities, and MCLE programs to grow and develop litigation and leadership skills.
