At Allied Instrumentation, we are a leading provider of instrumentation, safety, and heat trace solutions. We're on the lookout for a skilled Instrumentation Service Technician to join our team in Highland, IN. As a Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting and maintaining industrial electronic instrumentation for a diverse range of customers in the Midwest territory. What You'll Do: Bring control panels to life! Use your assembly and wiring skills to create and test control panels, making sure they meet our high-quality standards. Collaborate with our engineers to ensure designs and drawings are flawless, resolving any issues that arise. Be a champion of service! Assist our Service Manager in various department activities, contributing to the success of our team. Showcase your expertise! Repair, calibrate, and start up various process instrumentation both in our shop and at customer sites. Get ready to hit the road! Travel to customer plant sites to provide exceptional field service, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Document like a pro! Prepare accurate and timely reports for all service work performed. Be the bridge! Communicate effectively with customers and our sales team, coordinating service activities and uncovering new opportunities for growth. What You'll Need: A technical background! Whether you have an AAS Degree or equivalent technical job experience, your knowledge of industrial instrumentation will be key. Experience counts! Previous exposure to industrial instrumentation will give you an edge in this role. Self-motivation and professionalism! We need someone who can work independently, stays organized, and exudes confidence in their abilities. Communication is key! Strong oral and written skills will help you excel in this role. Time is of the essence! Punctuality is a must, as you'll need to be on time for customer appointments. A thirst for knowledge! You'll have the opportunity to learn and adapt quickly to new information and processes. Embrace the industrial environment! You must be willing to work on electrical equipment in industrial settings. Tech-savviness! Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, will be advantageous. Hit the road! A valid driver's license and occasional overnight travel are part of the job to serve our customers effectively. A clean and focused mindset! Our drug-free work policy and random drug testing program are a requirement.
