INSTRUCTOR OF ADVANCE MANUFACTURING AND TECHNOLOGY This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure track, bargaining unit position that reports to the Dean of Career and Technical Education and is located at the JWCC Workforce Development Center in Quincy, Illinois. Position begins August 2023. JOB DESCRIPTION This position is responsible for 15 credit hours per semester of teaching. The primary teaching assignments will be courses included in our Advance Manufacturing Technology programs. Other teaching assignments may include courses in other industrial technology programs and non-credit business and industry training. Courses may include topics in any of the advance manufacturing certificates and degrees listed below: Certified Production Technician certificate. Including safety, manufacturing processes, quality, and manufacturing maintenance. Precision machining certificate. Including manual machining, CNC turning and milling, and metallurgy Automation and Robotics certificate. Including introduction to robotics, programming of Fanuc robot, and other related courses Additional responsibilities will include a systematic review of our advance manufacturing programs with input from our local business partners, curriculum development, student recruitment, and a willingness to be involved in activities including professional development and committee membership. QUALIFICATIONS Prefers an Associates or higher degree in advance manufacturing or a related field. Requires a minimum of 4 years' experience in a related field. Teaching experience, course development, and industrial related credentials preferred. SALARY Salary commensurate with education and experience.
