An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Inpatient Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist to work in CAMHS service in the Charlwood, Surrey area. An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Inpatient Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist to work in CAMHS service in the Charlwood, Surrey area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers This is a brand new CAMHS service opening soon by the end of 2023 To be considered for this position you must be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice As the Consultant Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include: Review referrals and determine appropriateness for admission Conduct admission backssments and maintain effective management plans of all young people on the unit Conduct risk backssments and review regularly Allocate specialist psychological treatments in line with individual needs Assess physical health Ensuring effective liaison with referring teams Facilitating regular CPA review meeting Act as Responsible Clinician for young people detained under the Mental Health Act Involvement in quality, inspections and governance processes The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: Experience of CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders desirable Ability to take a clinical leadership role in a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high quality care To appraise own performance as a Consultant and reflect on development needs Ability to use IT including email and the internet Experience in UK Psychiatric settings The successful Consultant Psychiatrist will receive an excellent salary of £160,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working through Days.
